Oliver & Co. was founded 8 years ago in Madrid. Without expertise in the field, and equipped with only a passion and enthusiasm for perfumery and breaking the rules, we started our journey, and have been creating groundbreaking and unexpected fragrances ever since.
In 2009, fulled by a need to produce something truly original that was not being offered by the current market, we began our self education in fragrance production. After a lot of hard work, and a lot of experimentation, in 2010 our first range of candles were stocked in stores across Spain.
Shortly after we saw our candles being stocked in stores we set our sights on the world of perfumery, unimpressed by what the current “niche” market place offered. In 2011 we launched our first fragrance M.O.U.S.S.E.
Over the next five years we continued to explore the possibilities of what a fragrance could be, which lead to the creation of some of our best sellers; Vetiverus, Resina, La Colonia and Vaninger. Always wanting to push further and further so we didn’t stop there, during this time we also produced our truly experimental NEBULAE SERIES collection.
Our passion and unwillingness to conform to the industry standard seemed to pay off and during the period of 2011 – 2017 and we saw our fragrances stocked in nearly 80 stores world wide including 10 Corso Como in Milan, LuckyScent in LA, Twisted Lily in NY, and Aus Liebe zum Duft in Germany among others.
In the summer of 2017 our fragrance ‘Ambergreen’ was awarded with the Duftstars 2017 award for the best artistic independent perfume, at a ceremony organised by The Fragrance Foundation.
We celebrated the end of 2017 with the opening of our very first flagship store in Madrid.
In 2018 we decided to make some big changes! We decided it was time to create a company and service that matched the radical creativity and rebel spirit of our products.
We no longer sell our fragrances through traditional retailers and instead we only sell our products directly to customers through our website and store in Madrid.
This may not be the “norm”, but we never created OLIVER & CO. to play by the rules!
